Fire News is an audiovisual project which through fiction and representation of conspiracy is playing with reality. This video explores issues such as power, terrorism, their location and our role before these phenomena. In this work, I present a news piece where symbols and landmarks of contemporary global power move in rapid fire succession. All of these palaces are seen on fire and in smoke: The White House (Washington); The Buckingham Palace (London); The Kremlin (Moscow); The Rose House (Buenos Aires); Vatican (Rome); Casa Alvorada (Brasilia); Palace Heliopolis (Cairo); The Imperial Palace (Beijing); and The Royal Palace (Madrid), among others.
Fiction and reality blend. The audio is real, it has been extracted from real news and videos, live commentary of accidents in the past (Attack Twin Towers 9 /11). The palaces are from the West and from the East, so the whole world is threatened by terrorism. Today, we are witnessing the Arab Spring Revolution in the East, whilst in the West, we are caught in a perpetual threat and panic of further terrorist attacks.
Fire News questions the way in which cameras play an important role as a weapon of protection and as silent witness. The apocalypse, terrorism and fear are played out in this project as actors, visual references and turning points of further reflection.

Fire News es un proyecto audiovisual, que a través de la ficción y la representación
de la conspiración y el juego con lo real, indaga en cuestiones como el poder, el terrorismo, su emplazamiento, representación, y nuestro papel antes estos fenómenos.
En este video bajo formato de telenoticias en zapping vemos edificios emblemáticos símbolos del poder mundial. Entre estos palacios vemos entre fuego y humo: La Casa Blanca (Washington), El Buckingham Palace (Londres), El Kremlin (Moscú), La Casa Rosada (Buenos Aires), El Vaticano (Roma), Casa Alvorada (Brasilia), Palacio de Heliopolis (El Cairo), El palacio Imperial (Pekín), El palacio Real (Madrid) entre otros.
Ficción y realidad se mezclan. El audio es real, ha sido extraído de noticias y videos reales, comentarios en directo de accidentes ocurridos en el pasado

Los palacios son de Occidente y de Oriente, así todo el mundo se ve amenazado por el terrorismo. Así somos ahora testigos de la Revolución en Oriente y en Occidente somos presas del pánico ante la perpetua amenaza de nuevos ataques terroristas.
Por ello las cámaras se alían como arma de protección y como testigos mudos.
El apocalipsis, y el terrorismo y el miedo se sitúan en este proyecto como protagonistas y elementos plásticos y puntos de inflexión - reflexión.
